About the event
Wes Johnson and Gabe Delp have been making music together since high school, when a friendship sparked in 2015 quickly turned into a musical partnership. What started as two buddies picking guitars grew into a shared love for the flat-picking bluegrass style, inspired by legends like Doc Watson, Tony Rice, and Bryan Sutton. Their shows now showcase driving guitar leads, tight harmonies, and fresh, creative spins on traditional fiddle tunes.
By summer 2022, Wes and Gabe joined forces with Wood Flower, a rising bluegrass outfit performing across the region and along the East Coast. Together they’ve shared the stage with heavy hitters like Ricky Skaggs, Béla Fleck, The Seldom Scene, and East Nash Grass. In 2023, Wood Flower was named one of PhillyBluegrass.com’s “Top Ten Bluegrass Acts to See” - standing out as the only non-national band on the list.
